More than 200 inmates have escaped from a prison in Karachi, Pakistan,  following panic triggered by multiple earthquake tremors

‎Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said 216 prisoners fled early Tuesday morning, with 87 recaptured and one inmate confirmed dead.
‎
‎He added that the province’s prison chief has been dismissed over the incident.
‎
‎Authorities have urged those still at large to surrender.
‎
‎The escape comes amid concerns over overcrowding and poor prison conditions in Pakistan.
‎
‎Over 20 tremors have been recorded in Karachi in the past three days, according to the Sindh Meteorology Office.
