The Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Hassan Bala Abubakar, has expressed concern over rising insecurity in Kebbi State,
He warned that if not addressed, it could threaten the peace the state has enjoyed for years.
The Chief of Air Staff made this known while speaking during a visit to Governor Nasir Idris in Birnin Kebbi,
Air Vice Marshall Abubakar highlighted the unique challenges posed by Kebbi’s vast terrain and its borders with Benin and Niger.
He praised the conduct of Air Force personnel in the state and assured intensified aerial surveillance and operations to root out terrorists and restore peace.
Governor Idris welcomed the support and urged the Federal Government to establish a permanent Air Force base in Kebbi, citing the state’s strategic location and infrastructure.
