The Federal Government has approved a reform of admission entry requirements into all tertiary institutions across the country to democratise access to higher education.

‎In the new guidelines, Mathematics at credit pass level is no longer compulsory for students seeking admission into Art courses in tertiary institutions.

‎This was revealed in statement made on Tuesday by the Director Press and Public Relations,  Ministry of Education, Boriowo Folasade,

‎According to her, the new policy was driven by the Minister of Education, Dr Maruf Tunji Alausa,

‎She added that the policy represented a bold step towards advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu by promoting inclusive education as a foundation for national development.

‎Under the new framework, the Federal Government seeks to remove barriers to admission while maintaining academic standards.

‎The guidelines apply to universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and Innovation Enterprise Academies (IEAs) nationwide.
