‎President Bola Tinubu has received Denmark’s richest man, Anders Holch Povlsen, the Chief Executive Officer of Bestseller and Chairman of the Bestseller Foundation
‎Povlsen’s engagement with the President was made known on the official X handle of the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga,
‎Povlsen, who was accompanied by the Danish Ambassador to the country, Jens Bach Hansen, and others, met with President Tinubu in a closed-door meeting, amongst other top government officials, at the State House, Abuja.
‎The visiting delegation was received by the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, and the Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, before proceeding to meet with the President.
‎The Bestseller Foundation, a private philanthropic foundation funded by Danish company Bestseller A/S, drives social and environmental impact, especially in West Africa, and also in communities close to Bestseller’s value chain.
‎The Foundation emphasises entrepreneurship and supports entrepreneurs and ventures that generate social and financial returns.
‎The Danish Bestseller CEO’s visit to President Tinubu was seen as part of the administration’s broader drive to deepen economic relations between Nigeria and Denmark and attract foreign investment into the country.
