The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu has assured enhanced national security, following a strategic briefing to President Bola Tinubu at the State House.
Lieutenant General Shaibu stated this on Tuesday while addressing journalists after the closed-door meeting,
He revealed that evaluation of ongoing security operations revealed progress and sustained improvement in the overall security situation.
Lieutenant General Shaibu further revealed that his briefing to the President encompassed the results of his recent operational tour of the Northeast theatre, alongside an assessment of the prevailing national security.
According to him, the overall situation in the period under review remained satisfactory.
