House of Representatives has commended security agencies for their tireless efforts in ensuring the safety of citizens.
The House also urged security agencies to expedite efforts toward the rescue of twenty-seven abducted victims in Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The resolutions followed the adoption of a Motion On The Urgent Need For The Safe Rescue Of 27 Abducted Persons In Wase Local Government Area Of Plateau State, moved by Mr Ahmed Idris Wase.
According to him, the victims were en route to attend a Maulud celebration in Sabon-Layin Gaji Village when armed bandits ambushed and abducted them, leaving behind the tricycle and the children’s footwear at the scene.
The House further urged the heads of security agencies to provide armoured vehicles to enhance operations and establish a permanent security checkpoint along the Zak–Sabon-Layin Gaji corridor to prevent future occurrences
The motion was referred to the Committee on National Security for further consideration.
