House of Representatives has commended security agencies for their tireless efforts in ensuring the safety of citizens.

‎The House also urged security agencies to expedite efforts toward the rescue of twenty-seven abducted victims in Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State.

‎The resolutions followed the adoption of a Motion On The Urgent Need For The Safe Rescue Of 27 Abducted Persons In Wase Local Government Area Of Plateau State, moved by Mr Ahmed Idris Wase.

‎According to him, the victims were en route to attend a Maulud celebration in Sabon-Layin Gaji Village when armed bandits ambushed and abducted them, leaving behind the tricycle and the children’s footwear at the scene.

‎The House further urged the heads of security agencies to provide armoured vehicles to enhance operations and establish a permanent security checkpoint along the Zak–Sabon-Layin Gaji corridor to prevent future occurrences

‎The motion was referred to the Committee on National Security for further consideration.
