‎The Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Professor Faruk Adamu Kuta has celebrated the academic excellence and strategic expansion of the university in the past academic year

‎The Vice Chancellor in an address delivered on Sunday at the 34th Convocation Ceremony and 43rd Founder’s Day Celebration of F.U.TMinna, stated that the past academic year was one of exceptional progress, marked by purposeful growth and strategic consolidation

‎He revealed that FUTMinna was ranked 7th best University in Nigeria, also emerging as the highest ranked specialized University in the country

‎The VC stated that FURMinna also expanded it’s academic landscape with boldness and clarity of vision, announcing that the National Universities Commission, NUC, granted full approval for the commencement of programmes under the newly established College of Medical Sciences and Health Technology

‎The approval, according to him, added six programmes including Medical and Surgery (MBBS), Nursing Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D), Human Anatomy and Human physiology.

‎Professor Faruk added that in preparation for these programmes, the Gross Anatomy Laboratory for the training of medical sciences was completed, as well as a state of the art Bioinformatics laboratory at the Africa Centre it Excellence for Mycotoxins and Food Safety (ACEMFS

‎He also acknowledged the donation of the Abdul Samad Rabiu Students Hostel by the ASR Africa Initiative, dedicated to accommodating the pioneer make students of the medical college.

‎The VC further disclosed that all existing programmes had successfully undergone accreditation, as the university hosted a four-man international assessment panel from the United Kingdom’s Quality Assurance Agency

‎This engagement emphasized the university’s commitment to meet and exceed global standards in teaching, research and delivery.
