Nigeria and Angola have signed a bilateral agreement waiving visa requirements for holders of Diplomatic and Official/Service Passports,

‎This is a move aimed at easing official engagements and strengthening bilateral relations between both countries.

‎The agreement was signed on the side-lines of the 39th Ordinary Session of the Heads of State and Government of the African Union in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

‎The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, signed the agreement on behalf of Nigeria, while the Angolan Minister of External Relations, Ambassador Tete Antonio signed for Angola.

‎The visa waiver agreement is expected to significantly aid diplomatic and official interactions by removing administrative barriers for government officials and diplomats of both countries.

‎It is also expected to improve cooperation across various sectors through more seamless official exchanges.
