The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has intensified efforts to combat human trafficking by integrating anti-trafficking education into the nation’s school curriculum.

‎The initiative, driven by the Agency in collaboration with the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC), aims to equip students with knowledge on the dangers and warning signs of trafficking.

‎The NAPTIP Director General, Binta Adamu Bello, revealed the plans on Friday in an interview newsmen during a campaign tagged “Safe Future Awareness Programme”

‎Under the programme, human trafficking topics have been added into primary and secondary school subjects, while teachers are being trained to deliver the content effectively.

‎The move is part of a larger strategy by the Federal Government to raise awareness, protect vulnerable groups, and reduce the incidence of trafficking across the country.
