‎The Presidency has revealed that the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Olayemi Cardoso, will lead the country’s delegation to the 2025 Annual Meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF),
‎According to a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Mr Bayo Onanuga, the meeting is scheduled to begin on Monday, the 13th of October, in Washington, D.C.
‎Onanuga stated that Cardoso replaced the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr Wale Edun, who is presently indisposed.
‎The World Bank said key elements of the Annual Meetings include the Development Committee Plenary session on the 16th of October and the International Monetary and Financial Committee meetings on the 17th of October
‎Other featured events include regional briefings, press conferences, and fora focused on international development, the global economy, and financial markets.
