‎This was made known at the commissioning of a 60-unit Affordable Home Ownership Option for All Soldiers (AHOOAS) Housing Estate and a Post Service Housing Development Limited (PHDL) Shopping Complex in Ibadan.
‎
‎The projects were unveiled as part of efforts to enhance the living conditions, morale and post-service stability of Army personnel.
‎
‎Lieutenant General Shaibu described the development as a practical expression of the Nigerian Army’s Soldier First philosophy,
‎
‎He stressed that access to decent and affordable housing remained central to operational effectiveness and long-term welfare.
‎
‎The Chief of Army Staff further revealed that plans were underway to fast-track home ownership opportunities for Army Warrant Officers as part of broader welfare reforms.

‎Calling for more collaboration, Lieutenant General Shaibu urged other state governments to support the AHOOAS scheme through land allocation for future phases,
