The Federal government has been urged to establish major, well-equipped research laboratories with state -of-the-art facilities in several geopolitical zones of the country
This is to ease the challenges being faced by researchers to diligently do their work.
A university Don, Professor Hussein Kehinde Okoro of the Department of Industrial Chemistry, Faculty of Physical Sciences, University of Ilorin, made the request in the 292nd Inaugural lecture of the university
According to him this would ease the problems being faced by researchers when analysing their samples.
He added that majority of doctoral students in the area of Analytical- Environmental Chemistry found it difficult to recognize or operate analytical instruments because they were not provided.
Okoro also called on the federal government to make laws flexible to allow researchers place order for chemicals needed for research and charge relevant organisations to champion the course.
