‎As Nigeria prepares to mark 65 years of independence, the Federal Government has held a special thanksgiving service in Abuja.

‎The event, which took place at the National Ecumenical Centre, brought together top government officials, including Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume, Finance Minister Wale Edun, and former Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong.

‎Also in attendance were the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, who led other service chiefs, alongside the Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun, the Immigration Comptroller General Kemi Nandap, and the Correctional Service boss Sylvester Nwakuche.

‎Meanwhile, government has unveiled the official theme for this year’s independence anniversary: “Nigeria @ 65: All Hands on Deck for a Greater Nation.”

‎The theme, according to officials, underscores unity, collaboration, and patriotism as the nation looks to the future under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
