The federal government has called for stronger partnership among stakeholders to empower youths in the agricultural sectors

‎The Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Abubakar Kyari, made the appeal on Tuesday in Abuja at the maiden edition of the National Agribusiness Strategy Youth Dialogue.

‎Kyari noted the vital role youths could play in advancing climate-resilient and finance-driven agrifood systems, emphasizing that they accounted for more than 70% of the nation’s population.

‎He described the forum as a call to harness the energy, innovation, and resilience of youths to transform the agricultural sector.

‎The minister added that there was a need to harness the energy, innovation, and leadership of the youth to drive the transformation of agrifood systems.

‎The dialogue, themed “Building Climate-Resilient and Finance-Enabled Pathways for Youth in Agrifood Systems in Nigeria”, focused on equipping young people with the tools and opportunities needed to thrive in the agrifood space.
