‎The Federal Government has announced its readiness to host the eighth Nigeria–European Union Ministerial Dialogue on Monday, the 23rd of March, 2026, in Abuja

‎The Dialogue will provide a platform for economic discussions, while reinforcing the growing strategic collaboration between Nigeria and the European Union.‎

‎This was revealed in a statement signed by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa,

According to him, the minister of foreign affairs, Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, will lead the delegation, while the European Union delegation will be headed by Kaja Kallas, who also serves as vice-president of the European Commission.

‎The ministry revealed that Kallas was expected to arrive in Abuja on Sunday ahead of the meeting, where she will hold a bilateral session with Tuggar aimed at reviewing Nigeria–EU relations

‎The EU High Representative is also scheduled to pay a courtesy visit to Vice President Kashim Shettima at the Presidential Villa, as part of engagements to deepen diplomatic ties

‎According to the ministry, both parties will hold a joint press briefing after the ministerial meeting to communicate the outcomes of the dialogue and outline areas of expanded cooperation.
