‎The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has reiterated its commitment to push for public support for the implementation of the Federal Government’s tax reforms, scheduled to take effect in January 2026.
‎The Director General of NOA, Lanre Issa-Onilu, made this commitment when he received members of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms, led by its Chairman, Mr Taiwo Oyedele, on a courtesy visit to the NOA in Abuja.
‎In a statement signed by the Agency’s Director of Communications and Media, Bala Musa, Issa-Onilu said technology had made it easy for mischievous individuals to spread fake news and incorrect narratives about the new tax laws with ease.
‎He therefore highlighted the essence of sensitising citizens on the benefits of the tax laws to counter the wrong narratives spreading
‎The Director General of NOA explained that the new Tax Law would be beneficial, as it specifically addressed the issue of double taxation, among other improvements.
‎He further underscored the NOA’s ability to reach wide audiences across the country with its advocacy and national enlightenment campaigns
