‎The Nigerian Universities Technology Education Students Association (NUTESA), FUTMINNA Chapter, has organized a symposium with the theme – “The Mindset: Invading with the Spirit of Excellence” at Bosso Campus, Minna.

‎The event which got under way on Friday was well attended with over 150 students drawn from 100 to 500-level in attendance, hosted by Executive President of NUTESA, Comrade Micheal Adebare Odedara

‎In his welcome address, Odedara highlighted the purpose of the programme which he said was to reshape the perception that SSTE students were academically inferior and to instill in every student, especially freshers, the spirit of excellence

‎He taught students three major principles for achieving academic success: which were – setting clear goals, creating workable plans, and being consistent.

‎The NUTESA Executive also took time to teach them CGPA calculation and warned them strongly against distractions.

‎Tutor & Executive President, National Association of Science Education Students (NASES), enlightened students on the strong relationship between their daily actions and the outcomes they experience academically.

‎He emphasized responsibility, consistency, and intentional effort

‎Other highlights of the event include announcement of giveaways, an interactive Question & Answer session, and moments of collective motivation

‎The programme continued on Saturday with an exclusive session for selected students who will be trained on how to develop effective preparatory materials for tests and examinations.
