The Presidential Community Engagement Team, North Central, has conducted a further assessment of the recent attack on Angwan Rukuba in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.

‎This is part of ongoing efforts to support victims, strengthen security response, and prevent a recurrence of the violence.

‎Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement, North Central, Dr Abiodun Essiet, revealed this in an update on the aftermath assessment of the attack.
‎
‎According to her, the team documented eyewitness accounts and reviewed the prevailing security situation in the affected community.
‎
‎She stated that the curfew imposed in the area remained in force from 3 p.m. to 8 a.m. local time, as part of measures to maintain law and order and forestall further breakdown of security.
‎
‎Dr Essiet also said the team confirmed that 13 victims had so far been buried with support from the government, while the remaining burials have been scheduled for next Tuesday, with affected families receiving logistical assistance.
‎
‎The presidential aide further explained that findings from the field assessment were being used to guide coordinated engagements to restore public confidence and strengthen preventive measures against further violence.
