‎Vice President Kashim Shettima has urged stakeholders, including financial institutions, government agencies and the private sector, to broaden their support for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
‎
‎Noting their vital role in economic growth, job creation and poverty reduction, he implored them to leverage technology to strengthen the MSME sector, particularly for youths operating in the digital space.
‎
‎The Vice President made the call on Tuesday while receiving the 2025–2026 MSME Report at the Nigerian MSME Stakeholders’ Meeting held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja
‎
‎VP Shettima encouraged the stakeholders to learn from India, which generated $130 billion in 2025 from business process outsourcing alone.
‎
‎He noted that the opportunities in the outsourcing sector were enormous.
‎
‎The Vice President further thanked stakeholders for their efforts in advancing MSMEs and assured them that the present administration would do everything possible to ensure the growth of small businesses across the country.
