‎The President Bola Tinubu has commended former Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Eluonye Irabor, for authoring a book on the Boko Haram insurgency, describing it as a contribution to national security discourse.
‎The President stated these on Sunday in a statement issued by his Spokesperson, Mr Bayo Onanuga, while congratulating General Irabor on his 60th Birthday.
‎He said the publication would deepen the country’s understanding of the origins and dynamics of Boko Haram, while providing insights for addressing similar security challenges in the future.
‎President Tinubu said the launch publication was for soul-searching and not an indictment on anyone.
‎Congratulating General Irabor, the President lauded the ex-Army chief as a true war commander and defender, describing him as a patriotic service to the country and a leader within the military.
‎He wished Irabor many years of good health and invaluable services to the nation.
