‎President Bola Tinubu has restated that his administration is committed to creating a Nigeria that works for everyone.
‎President Tinubu made this known while speaking through the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, at the Catholic Bishops’ Conference plenary in Akwa Ibom,
‎He noted that his government was taking bold steps to stabilize the economy, attract investment, and roll out reforms that will deliver long-term benefits.
‎The President urged the Church to continue supporting government policies, assuring that no one will be left behind in ongoing social investment programmes.
‎Also addressing the gathering, Senate President Godswill Akpabio appealed to citizens for patience, stressing that the reforms would soon yield economic prosperity.
‎Akwa Ibom Governor Umo Eno praised the Catholic Church for its role in promoting justice and democracy, while outlining his administration’s poverty-alleviation efforts.
‎‎The event was attended by bishops from across the country, members of the National Assembly, and the Pope’s representative to Nigeria
