Team F.U.T Minna has got off to a brilliant start at the 27th Nigerian University Games Association (NUGA) Games which kicked-off on Saturday at the University of Jos. The University contingent has recorded victories in a number of sports such Football, Handball, Table Tennis and Scrabble – among others.

In Football, F.U.TMinna Transformers defeated the University of Makurdi by one goal while the University’s Handball team beat the University of Lagos 18-17. In Table Tennis, Team F.U.T Minna beat University of Jos 2-0, In Scrabble, F.U.T Minna ladies have performed remarkably well with a member emerging 5th best player on the individual board, having won all her six games

The 27th NUGA Games with the Theme “Unity, Play in Peace,” brings together a total of 4,181 athletes from universities across the country to compete in 23 sports disciplines, including Athletics, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Swimming, and E-Sports.
