Our Story
Search Media is the official student media organization of the Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA), operating across both Bosso and Gidan Kwano campuses. We serve as the voice of the student populace, bridging the communication gap between the Student Union Government (SUG), university management, and the general student body.
As a comprehensive media outfit, we combine traditional broadcasting with modern digital media to deliver news, entertainment, and educational content to our audience. Our platform provides students with hands-on experience in journalism, broadcasting, audio/video production, photography, and digital media management.
Through our various platforms - including Search FM 92.3, our online news portal, YouTube channel, and social media presence - we keep the campus community informed, entertained, and engaged with relevant content that matters.
What We Do
Radio Broadcasting
Search FM 92.3 broadcasts 24/7, delivering music, news, talk shows, and campus updates to students across FUTMINNA and beyond.
Campus Journalism
We cover campus news, SUG activities, departmental events, academic updates, and opinion pieces to keep students informed.
Music & Production
Our recording studio provides music production, voice-overs, podcast recording, and audio mixing services for students and external clients.
Video Production
We create video content including event coverage, interviews, documentaries, and promotional materials for campus activities.
Artist Select
Our talent discovery platform showcases and promotes the best musical and creative talent within the FUTMINNA community.
Skills Development
We train and mentor students in media production, journalism, broadcasting, and digital content creation.
