Governor Bago Tasks Newly Inaugurated Commissioners on Prioritizing Public Interests

Governor Umaru Bago has sworn in six newly appointed commissioners with a charge to put the interest of the state above personal considerations.

Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony which held at the Government House Council Chamber in Minna, Governor Bago charged the commissioners to bring their experience to bear on their duties and ensure their ministries contribute to the development agenda of his administration.

He directed them to resume immediately and familiarise themselves with ongoing programmes, while permanent secretaries were instructed to brief them on the activities of their respective ministries.

The appointments followed the resignation of six former commissioners who stepped down to pursue their political ambitions in upcoming elections

The newly inaugurated commissioners are….

* Professor Isah Adamu – Ministry of Rural Development

* Mohammed Danladi Garba – Ministry of Technical & Vocational Education

* Lucky Barau – Ministry of Tourism and Culture

* Emmanuel Alamu – Ministry of Special Duties

* Isah Wakili – Ministry of Sports & Youth Development

* Saidu Shuaibu Kaboji – Ministry of Commerce
