Nigerian sprinter Samuel Ogazi made history at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, claiming the men’s 400m gold medal. The 20-year-old NCAA champion blazed through the race in a Games record time of 44.25 seconds. The victory is Nigeria’s first-ever senior gold medal in this event at the Commonwealth Games, surpassing the bronze won by Sunday Bada in 1994.
