World Teacher Day: El-Amin PTA Celebrates, gifts Teachers

As the world observes the 2026 Teachers Day, the executives of the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) of El-Amin International School feted both academic and non-academic staff with gift items.

While presenting the items to the members of staff, Chairman of the Association, Prince Daniel Atori alongside other executive council members said the PTA recognises the important role of teachers in both human and national development, thus its resolve to celebrate and appreciate their efforts.

Speaking on the theme for 2026 World Teachers’ Day, Standing with Teachers: 60 Years of Protecting the Profession, Advancing its Status and Shaping Our Futures,’ Prince Atori assured that the gesture will be annually.

According to him “teachers are the group that train children to become responsible individuals in life. Once they get it right, the society becomes better. That is why we, as a body decided to celebrate and appreciate them.

“The PTA is a very strong stakeholder in the assignment of every school and we hold our teachers in high esteem. Teaching is still a noble profession and we will sustain gestures as this.”

In her response, the Head Teacher of the school, Mrs. Abimbola Poopola while appreciating the PTA for the gesture said, “on our part, why we are doing everything possible to ensure that our children are comfortable and receiv the best both in academics and in character”.

“We commend the PTA for this show of love and reminding us that the growth and development of every child is dependent on the manpower that is physically, mentally, professionally and psychologically sound.

“All of these cannot be achieved without the noble teaching profession. And we are doing our best to groom and build the future of our Children”.

At the colourful event, that had pupils decorated staff members, the items donated by the PTA include bags of rice and cartons of tomato paste.
